The Origin

A fragrance you carry, not one you apply. Sudanese scent rituals mahleb seeds rounded by hand, strung bead by bead reimagined and handcrafted in London.

Meet my inspiration

We used to call her Mama Zenith, but she loved the Mahleb necklace. Today it holds a special place in my heart — strung again, bead by bead, into something you can wear and remember.

Every ritual begins with intention

Mother of twins. Architect. Lighting designer. Founder. ÉVADORE was built the way she builds everything — slowly, deliberately, and with light.

The Ritual

Three gestures, every day

01

Anoint

Three drops of the scent oil onto the beads. Mahleb drinks it in — warm, resinous, quietly alive.

02

Wear

The necklace warms against the skin and the scent blooms through the day — a fragrance you carry, not one you apply.

03

Return

At evening, the strand returns to its ritual jar — amber glass sealed with walnut and gold, where the scent renews for tomorrow.
